| Sara Davis Buechner has been celebrated as a pianist of notable 
                  accomplishment, virtuosic mastery, artistic sensibility and 
                  extraordinary versatility. She was a prizewinner in many of 
                  the world's most prestigious international piano competitions: 
                  Queen Elisabeth of Belgium, Leeds, Salzburg, Sydney and Vienna. 
                  She was the Grand Prizewinner of the 1984 Gina Bachauer International 
                  Piano Competition, and the top American Prizewinner of the 1986 
                  Tchaikowsky Competition in Moscow.
 She has appeared with many of America's most prominent orchestras 
                  including The New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia and Cleveland 
                  Orchestras, has Played widely throughout Europe and Asia, and 
                  with such foreign orchestras as the Japan Philharmonic, the 
                  Birmingham (U.K.) Symphony Orchestra and the Orquesta Sinfónica 
                  de Castilla y Léon (Spain). Last season she made her recital 
                  debut at Lincoln Center's "Mostly Mozart" Festival.
 
 Ms. Buechner's recording of solo works by George Gershwin was 
                  selected as "Record of the Month" in May 1994 by Stereophile 
                  magazine, and her 1997 recording of the Bach-Busoni "Goldberg" 
                  Variations was profiled in the Recording View column of the 
                  New York Times Sunday Arts & Leisure section.
 
 Her most recent releases are recordings of piano music by Stephen 
                  Foster for Pro Piano Records, and Rudolf Friml. Ms. Buechner 
                  is also one of the only pianists to actively perform with silent 
                  movies, such as the 150-minute-long restored score to Ben Hur 
                  (1925), which was presented at the Walter Reade Theatre by the 
                  Film Society of Lincolin Center.
 
 Profiles of Ms. Buechner have appeared in The New York Times 
                  Magazine and Paris Match, and she has been featured on the television 
                  programs Entertainment Tonight and Extra. She teaches piano 
                  and chamber music at New York University, and has presented 
                  master classes at conservatories and universities throughout 
                  the United States and Japan.
