| Miwa Onodera, Pianist Tokyo-based pianist Miwa Onodera has performed on stages in Europe, North America and her native Japan. Ms. Onodera studied initially as a child with Sawako Sasaki, then with Kazuko Ariga and Miyoko Goldberg at the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo, and finally continued her musical education in New York, at The Juilliard School under Martin Canin, and with the renowned instructors at The Mannes College of Music and New York University. Miwa Onodera concentrates on the later Romantics, Chopin, Stravinsky, Debussy and Mussorgsky. For Ms Onodera, these late Romantics are superlative vehicles for creative regeneration and rebirth. She considers classical music to be one of mankind’s most profound means of communication. Ms. Onodera records for Pro Piano Records, and is managed by Pro Piano Management.
